In a translucent blonde finish, this brilliant guitar has a 60's profile maple neck with black dot inlays. A rare and interesting Hollowbody bass from the psychedelic 60's! Often termed as the " Monkees Bass", this shortscale (believe it or not) 4 string is something quite special. Unusual in both sounds and looks, this big bass has a character all on its own! Features include inbuilt string mute, rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, original roller bridge, 2 thumb rests, two covered humbuckers and a cool red grained mahogany finish. Even the electronic design of this bass is pretty interesting with 3 switches (Pickup/Tone and Standby) and 3 knobs (2 x Volumes, Master Volume). Only made between 1968 - 1972. An incredibly rare bass guitar.

In original Sunburst finish and with original machineheads. The electronics are also original although the pickup has been rewound at some point in it's history by Curtis Novak. An amazing example of why Gibson are famous the world over - and the first choice of a whole host of the guitar playing population. The single cutaway is the most desirable version of the Melody Maker and with good reason too - this thing just screams cool!

This stunning instrument features a 5 piece maple neck with ebony fingerboard, hand carved spruce top and solid curly maple back and sides. There was only 1600 Artist Awards ever made. It's handcrafted in USA and really is a top of the range jazz box. Not only is this piece a gorgeous guitar it's valuable to collectors too.
